Our ‘chalupa’ is situated in the ‘Kokorinsko’ National Park in North Bohemia. ‘Chalupa’ is the Czech word for a traditionally built rural house. Ours is about 150 years old and completely restored. We have preserved the traditional characteristics of the house and in this way maintained not only its atmosphere but also its practical advantage of insulation: the house is cool in summer and warm in winter.
The house comprises two parts, which can be rented separately
The dwelling house (the White House) has a sitting room, kitchen, bathroom with bath, shower, double washbasin and toilet, 1 bedroom with double bed, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds and an extra toilet. The white house can sleep up to 4.
The half-timbered house (former Smithy/farm) has a large sitting room, kitchen, bar area, 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with shower and toilet. This part can sleep up to 7.
You can rent either or both of these.
Both houses are provided with satellite TV, video, mini set with radio-CD player, fridge, microwave combi oven, ceramic cooking plate and washing machine. Heating is by electric radiators and woodstoves.
