How do you get to the Chalupa in Mosnice?
From Hengelo it is about an 8-hour drive and 740km. Continuing on the A1 you go Oldenzaal, Osnabrück, Hannover heading for Berlin. Before Magdenburg you turn off, taking the A14 for Leipzig and Dresden. At the moment it is best to take the route via Bautzen and Oppach to Varnsdorf. Once over the border you follow the signs for Novy Bor, Ceska Lipa, Duba and Tuhan. In Tuhan you go straight on and then after about 500 meters turn left towards Mosnice. (through the sunken road, see photo).
There are of course other possibilities.
Via Dresden: Take the exit Dresden Altstadt and follow the signs for Prague. Once over the border take the road to Teplice and then again follow the signs for Prague. Near Lovosice, where the road changes to 4-lanes, you take the first exit. Follow the signs for Litomerice. In Litomerice you take the road for Ustek. In Ustek, at the last crossroad, you go right towards Duba. At the village of Tuhan (before Duba) you turn right at the crossroad… you’re almost there…. after 500 meters at the bus stop turn left to Mosnice (through the sunken road, see photo).
Watch out! In the Czech Republic small villages are sometimes signed with the name of the municipality and then the name of the village e.g. Tuhan-Obrok is a village, Obrok, in the municipality of Tuhan.
