Surroundings

The Kokorinsko region is one of the most beautiful parts of Bohemia.  The landscape looks much like a canyon, becoming hilly in the north.

The best known touristic part of the park is called the “Kokorinsky Dul”.  This is the valley of the Psovka river which has a great number of tributaries with deep ravines.  The area has a virtual labyrinth of sandstone formations with huge overhangs, small caves, ravines and narrow gullies – ideal for both recreation and sport.  There are many marked cycle and walking routes for different levels.  On the other hand you can always go your own way.

If you want to do a cycle tour we have seven mountain bikes available as well as cycling maps of the area.  Places of interest nearby are Ustek, Melnik, Litomerice and Terezin (Theresienstadt).  Ustek has an annual historical market.  At the beginning of August each year there is a jazz festival in the small village of  Duba, near Mosnice.

In autumn you can look for wild mushrooms and enjoy the wonderful autumn colours.  In winter you can go skiing in the Jizerske Hory in the north east of the Czech Republic.  Nearer by in Cesky Stredehori they set out langlauf routes every winter.  In spring the landscape is transformed by a wonderful display of apple and cherry blossom.
